Ambulatory Care Representative

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services.  We are currently seeking r Ambulatory Care Representatives with strong patient / customer service experience for immediate full time positions in our Psychiatry Department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Expediting patient registration check-in and check-out process
• Greeting and screening patients. 
• Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, insurance and appointment history.
• Collecting payments and dispersing carfare and serves as the clinic liaison.
• Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
