RN – Nurse Care Coordinator – Geriatrics -(FT Evening Shift)
Salary: $53.18/hr. + Differentials + Full 1199 Union Benefits
Location: Jamaica Hospital Nursing Home, Queens, NY

About the Role:
The Nurse Care Coordinator (NCC) focuses on overseeing and coordinating nursing operations to ensure high-quality care for our residents. While hands-on care is part of the job, this role emphasizes leadership, care planning, and team support rather than primarily bedside nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise nursing staff; act as the nurse in charge when DON/ADN/Executive VP is unavailable
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and facility objectives
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules; coordinate interdepartmental communication
• Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations
• Participate in nursing and administrative committees
• Serve as a role model and resource in clinical and administrative matters
•  Engage with residents and families to enhance care quality
