Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist – Level 1 Trauma Center | Jamaica Hospital Medical Center

Location: Jamaica, NY | Full-Time | Salary: $125,000 – $130,000

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC), a prestigious Level 1 Trauma Center, is seeking a Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist (TPIS) ) to support trauma quality and safety initiatives. This role directly influences patient outcomes, ensures compliance with ACS standards, and drives continuous improvement across the trauma program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and sustain the trauma Performance Improvement/Patient Safety (PIPS) program.
  • Collect, analyze, and benchmark trauma PI data, track outcomes, trends, and variances.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and trended data for trauma committees.
  • Facilitate performance improvement meetings and maintain trauma PI databases.
  • Support preparation for regulatory site surveys (ACS, NYSDOH).

Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in NY
  • BSN required, Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
