About the Role

As the Assistant Head Nurse (AHN) in our Operating Room, you will serve as a vital leader, working closely with the Head Nurse to oversee daily surgical operations. You will supervise OR staff, maintain optimal workflow, and ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of safe, compassionate, and professional care. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a nurse who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to excellence in surgical nursing.

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support circulating nurses, scrub nurses, and other OR staff.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure top-quality perioperative care.
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff to foster growth and teamwork.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.
• Enforce compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Oversee surgical scheduling, staffing assignments, and supply readiness.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives and investigate safety concerns.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between OR staff and hospital leadership.
