Location: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay: $55.92/hr. + shift differentials

Our Department of Psychiatry offers a full spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, and community-based mental health services. We are seeking a skilled Assistant Head Nurse / Psychiatric RN to join our night shift team. This role is perfect for nurses who thrive in leadership, mentorship, and hands-on behavioral health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Nurse Manager with unit operations and administrative duties
• Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff and auxiliary personnel
• Assign nursing tasks and coordinate shift coverage
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback
• Provide hands-on leadership and clinical support to the nursing team
• Assist in preparing incident, accident, and investigatory report
