Position Summary: A technically-oriented investigative position that involves maintaining access control and CCTV video security controls within the Security Department. Position includes the ability conduct investigations of improper access violations and other investigations where video surveillance review would benefit the institution. The person selected for this position must be proficient with the collection of statistics and data entry. This position will be responsible for conducting in-service training. This position will involve conducting other types of investigations when warranted.
Work Responsibilities:
• Responsible to manage, maintain, troubleshoot and repair card access control system.
• Responsible for the input and removal of employees’ card access to facility, as warranted.
• Operate, configure, upgrade, test, troubleshoot and maintain CCTV systems and related
components; ensures that equipment and systems are fully operational.
• Conduct internal investigations based on information from various sources utilizing
access control data and video review.
• Gather and assess evidence and provide findings and recommendations.
• Review internal data, spreadsheets, to identify trends of abuse or misconduct.
• Participates in the coordination of the overall security and protection of patients, visitors,
staff, and property relevant to the Medical Center.
• Testify in court or internal disciplinary hearings, as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement personnel and other investigative entities.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when necessary.
