The Emergency Department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is a fully equipped, comprehensive Level 1 treatment center.? We offer state-of-the-art patient care 24 hours a day, seven days a week to more than 117,000 patients each year.? We are looking for a Per Diem Evening Support Care Associate. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Selected candidate will provide patient transport/messenger, dietary, and housekeeping duties in the patient ER care unit. Other specific duties may entail the following:  

  • Assisting, and transporting patients via wheelchairs and stretchers to various diagnostic and treatment areas. 

  • Washing and disinfecting furnishings and fixtures. 

  • Preparing patient bedside supplies.  

  • Delivering patient food trays 

Requirements
  • High School diploma or its equivalent. 

  • BLS from AHA Heart saver Course  

  • Patient and/or housekeeping experience. 

  • Good verbal and writing ability.  

  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions.
