DISPATCH SUPERVISOR

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks a Dispatch Supervisor for an immediate full-time evening position in our Central Transport Service Department.  Our ideal candidate will have a strong Customer Service focus and current/recent demonstrated leadership experience.   The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and managing the overall daily inpatient transport operations at Jamaica Hospital.  Additional duties will include:  

DUTIES

• Assigning and dispatching patient transport assignments to transport staff to ensure timely delivery of patients to and from various destinations.
• Receiving and processing department calls to obtain pertinent information to dispatch medical personnel and equipment.
• Monitoring daily activity service line to facilitate and recommend operation, system, and program improvements.
• Maintaining daily oversight and supervision of transportation staff to ensure adherence to hospital safety, guidelines, and procedures. 
• Performing administrative functions to monitor and maintain department goals and staff performance.
