Director of Cybersecurity

The Director of Cybersecurity will lead a team responsible for IT security compliance in a hospital environment and will be working on location at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing an IT Security technical staff, conducting security audits and managing projects.
• Oversees the annual and ongoing risk assessment process, development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and access of electronic protected health information and monitoring program compliance.
• Investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches and in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Additionally core functions include the in-servicing of other hospital staff on security policies and procedures.
• This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, in addition to technical, project management and diplomatic skills. Must be able to communicate effectively across the hospital system.

We have a fully accredited Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Fellowship Programs and provide care in most medical and surgical subspecialty areas including interventional cardiology, dialysis and sleep medicine

With over 120, 000 ER visits, The ER is designated as a Level 1 trauma center and the Stroke Certified is certified by NYS . Our Chest Pain Center offers immediate evaluation and the recently expanded Pediatric ED is equipped to handle the most critical cases. and supported by one of the largest voluntary ambulance fleet serving the City 911 system.
