Flushing Hospital Medical Center located in Queens, New York has a full time opening for a Pathologist.

Established in 1884, Flushing Hospital Medical Center is considered the first hospital in Queens, New York. The borough of Queens is the most ethnically diverse community in the United States, and our hospital is proud to serve Queens’ culturally rich population in Flushing.

With our 293 beds, Flushing Hospital in 2017 served 39,000 ambulatory care patients, delivered more than 3,100 babies, and treated more than 41,000 emergency department patients in the Queens area.

Our facility received the American Stroke Association/ American Heart Association’s award called Get with the Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement. We received this honor for achieving certain quality achievement standards for diagnosing and treating stroke patients.

Flushing Hospital also recently earned accreditation through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. We are now a “Comprehensive Center” due to our proven ability to meet high patient care and safety standards.

Requirements
  • NYS MD License
  • Board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
  • Fellowship in Transfusion medicine preferred; experience in Transfusion Medicine highly desired
  • NYS Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology Certificate of Qualification or eligibility desired.
  • 2- 3 years experience in Anatomic Pathology is preferred.
