Clinical Risk Manager – Jamaica Hospital Medical Center
Location: Queens, NY | Department: Risk Management | Shift: Full-Time, Day
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 + Full Benefits

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 402-bed Level I Trauma and Stroke Center, is seeking a Clinical Risk Manager to lead initiatives that enhance patient safety and minimize organizational risk. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments, incident reviews, investigations, and root cause analyses
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to improve patient and employee safety
  • Ensure timely reporting to regulatory agencies
  • Review and analyze medical records to produce accurate event summaries
  • Assist in policy and system development to strengthen organizational safety and compliance
  • Facilitate training and education programs to promote a safety-focused culture

Requirements
  • BSN required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred
  • 3–5 years of acute hospital experience, preferably in critical care
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare risk management principles
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and record review skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated with a desire to grow professionally
