Clinical Coordinator, Risk Management

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center has a career opportunity for a Risk Management (RM) Coordinator. The RM Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating risk management activities including proactive assessments, incident reviews, investigations, root cause analysis, risk reduction strategies and reporting to regulatory agencies as required. The RM Coordinator promotes a just and safety culture, applying a continuous learning approach to errors through education, policy, and system development.

The ideal candidate will have a solid risk management background and the ability to work independently with medical staff, legal counsel and administrative/clinical personnel. The Clinical Coordinator will work to increase patient and employee safety and reduce medical errors and financial loss to the health system.

Qualifications:

3-5 years health care experience including general knowledge of Risk Management activities.

Ability to review medical records to produce accurate and complete summaries of events.

Able to write reports and manage data.
