The Clinical Laboratory Assistant Performs a variety of general support duties in specimen procurement, clerical, central processing, and/or other assigned areas at an entry skill level. Performs and interprets limited procedures in the Pathology Department at all times. May perform minor preventative tasks as well as ordering of laboratory supplies.

Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • Certificate as a Phlebotomist with 2 year experience including newborns and children required.
  • Computer oriented (data entry of routine &stat requisitions).
  • Type a minimum of 35 wpm.
  • Retrieval & proper distribution of patient records.
  • General clerical duties.
  • Register patients for Phlebotomy procedures & other lab tests performed, collate lab reports, answer phones, and ability to troubleshoot errors.
