Orthopedic Medical Assistant

The Orthopedic Medical Assistant will review daily clinical schedule and be able to anticipate appropriately. Prepare patients charts prior to their visit. Ensure excellent patient care and patient service is provided at all times.Triaging patients. Document clinical notes appropriately, accurately and timely in our EPIC system. Assist in checking in and out patients, when necessary. Assist the physicians during examinations, clean up, set up, and prepare equipment and supplies for use. Maintains logs with accurate documentation. Call referring physicians for test results. Follow up with insurance companies for authorizations and referrals. Provides coverage, when necessary.
