MOBILE CRISIS UNIT

The Mobile Crisis Team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides street-level mental health intervention, engagement, and support services to people experiencing severe behavior crises. We offer a broad range of services, including assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and information and referrals to community-based mental health services. Our Mobile Crisis Team consists of behavioral health professionals, including social workers and peer specialists, who collaboratively provide short-term management and care.

We are currently seeking Licensed Social Workers for immediate full-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide professional casework services to patients and family members with social and/or personal problems related to their illness, hospitalization, and integration into the community.
Offer supportive therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy.
Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental illness.

Requirements
Requirements: Must be Licensed LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC . Previous inpatient clinical experience in a hospital setting/CPEP, or in a mobile crisis unit, and/or discharge planning is strongly preferred. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. PC proficiency is required. Must be open to street-level community intervention. Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
