Medical Assistant

The Department of Ambulatory Care at Flushing Hospital provides patients with a wide array of primary and specialty care in an outpatient setting. The department operates a main on-campus center. Our modern fully equipped medical facilities provide a full and comprehensive range of services for children and adults.  We are currently seeking experienced compassionate Medical Assistants for immediate full-time day shift opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting screening and intake procedures with patients and their caregivers.
Performing but not limited to other tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.
Greeting patients and their caregivers on arrival.
Utilizing PC terminal and software programs to input, update, and retrieve patient data and records.
Communicating and relaying pertinent information to appropriate office staff.
Advising and assisting patients and caregivers with information regarding office procedures, policies, and protocols.
Addressing patient inquires, concerns, and complaints.
Performing general administrative duties as needed.
